An update

Hello Secundi!

So, a year later.  LilBit and I are still living with my parents.  They've been a huge help to us and very welcoming even still, and LilBit has become very attached to them, so I don't see us moving out anytime soon.  LilBit is in first grade this year and has been doing very well.  She has two awesome opportunities this year - she's in a Portuguese immersion program, and the english portion of her day she has my mom as her teacher. 

I work full time at a screen printing shop.  I've been in the heat press division (think industrial version of iron-ons) but they're moving me to the embroidery department in a couple weeks here, where I'll mostly be doing the digitizing - taking logos and programming for the machines to know how exactly to go about embroidering them.  I have to get up at 5 am for work, meaning I need to be to bed good and early.  Computer time just doesn't work out that well during the day when LilBit is about, and I can't afford to stay up late anymore, so it's not unusual now for me to go several days without getting on the computer at all.

I still miss Conrad and think about him all the time.  I occasionally struggle with depression, most especially when I haven't gotten enough sleep, but for the most part I'm doing well.

Looks like things have gone pretty dead here.  I guess I can't really blame anyone seeing as how I've pretty much disappeared myself.

A couple of you have received refunds from me for Quinsta/other commissions now, where I've given up on communication and other things going well enough for them to be able to be completed.  That completely wraps up any and everything I owed anyone.

I'll try to poke my head in every now and again at least.  Anyways, hope everything's going well for everyone!

So glad to read you post. Glad to see things are, for the most part, working themselves out.

Hello Silvanon,

It's good to read through such a lengthy update from you! -hugs- Life keeps moving on and on, for all of us... and it seems like so many of us have drifted apart from Secundi somewhat. Which is totally understandable. Life happens! After reading all that's been going on with you, I can totally see why the Quin haven't been doing anything since my own long absence.

With a lot of changes and upheavals in my own life, I've been heeding signs and trying to listen to what life is telling me to do. I also want to remember and honor that paths I was on before... Last week, I saw you and Crystal's names both briefly sign on my messenger system. It's been ages since I talked to either of you, and I took it as a sign to look back and rekindle old friendships.

I know it's going to be tough, but I'm going to try to set aside a little time each day or at least each week to reach out to Secundi and rekindle my old friendships. These connections we form with each other, these gossamer threads that link each of our life forces to one another, are one of the most important things in life, I think. Life happens, and we might not hear from each other in a long time, but I don't want to lose these connections forever. I'm still here!
