Interest check for Land of Arya.

Hello. I joined Secundi a long time ago but never got really active. I've recently started working on reviving some lines from my old adoptable shop/world in PI (Whimsicalia) and transitioning into Land of Arya. Basically LoA is a land of nobles/nobility so the setting is relatively peaceful. Right now I'm focusing on the eastern dragon type pet, it used to be a one stage adoptable but I've recently gotten an egg and teen stage. They are still being templated but work is ongoing. I might add a female version in the future, it would still depend on the original artist's availability and interest on our adoptables.

This will be running in PI as well, although it will be separate lines to organize and track them better.

Would you be interested in them? If you would be, could you provide me with suggestions on what you would like to see from this line? As well as types of events and pricing since I'm not really sure how currencies go here in Secundi.

I love the look and their design but I'd like it better if the two dragons looked more alike, the scaling on the chest/belly/undertail and legs makes it look like you just got a random dragon line to add to this set. I'm not trying to be picky, it just bugs me...

I actually think they'd be great if you used them as two sepreate species, I love the "teen stage" quite a lot because it looks like oriental artwork

Hm, looking at the previous shading it looks like it's more work than hard to replicate. Looks like 3 shading layers probably set on multiply and two highlight layers at low opacity. The texture can easily be done with a regular brush - you don't need specific textures. It would take a bit to get an eye for it, but it isn't too hard to do. Just time consuming. (I'd prefer it over the current one, but I don't think you'd be able to find someone with the time to replicate it.)

Also, I agree. The teen line doesn't match the shaded to me. The egg is really cool and seems to match the 'teen' stage more, so if I had to, I'd get rid of the one you have shaded and have just an egg, male, and female. (Although if you could do baby stages that would be adorable!) I like the body of the 'adult,' but it seems like the style of the other two stages would work better for you.

Sorry if I'm sounding aggressive! I really love my dragons and can be a bit picky.

I'll definitely be interested in following these regardless of how you end up setting them up.  And I'm going to throw in my own two cents on the various lines - It's true the teen stage doesn't match up entirely with the adult and the teen stage could easily pass as an adult stage, so I'll throw my vote in for using it as a separate adult possibility.  As for the old & new shading, I really love them both.  The old shading definitely looks like scales, while the new gives more an impression of fur.  Why not use both as different possible mutations? - scaled body vs. furred body.  So, basically I'm suggesting a two-stage adoptable (egg -> adult) with three different options to grow up into.

Also; now that I've had a look at the link to the old shading; Im really in love with it. I don't really like the new shading as much though, Im afraid. I think the teen stage works fine with the adult, because maybe the teen hasnt grown in all his scales yet? I dunno. Im not very picky with stuff like that. XD I just like dragons, but yeah if you could find someone to mimic the old shading, Id die.

Hmmm...I do like Silvanon's idea on having 3 possible adults. I was leaning towards using the old line as lines for special events but the 3 adults route sounds good as well. So I might go for getting a unisex baby (and possibly a female to match the unshaded teen) and having the two adult/shading as a rare hatch. Like a special elder or something.

I do love the old shading, however, I've been having difficulty finding someone who can really mimic ruka's shading. Most of my single stage pets for Whimsicalia were shaded by ruka. It was easier to find a new shading style than someone who had the time or wanted to try the style. T_T

I like the third image/stage, not the second.  The egg is nice, but I like the adult the best.  I like the shading of both, but I do prefer the "scales" as it seems more fitting to the creature.

Hello again. Took a bit of time before I got new updates. I'm still interested in running them here, although I would be going with the new shading. The old scale-ish shading would still be there for the old adult, but it won't be adapted to the newer lines in the near future. Maybe someday, but definitely not anytime soon. Would you guys still be interested if that is the case?

I like that shading style! However i think that particularly on the dragons body there are some parts a little blank of shading, that might be improved by adding a bit more shading or highlights. But overall very good!

Thank you everyone for the show of support. I finally have the sketches for the unisex baby and adult female but it will still take a bit of time before I can get them shading/highlights because I am out of funds.

_{Any money I'm getting at the moment go to my puppies fund since I'll be picking up the two pups this early April. Long story, but I can share more info or pics if anyone is interested. I'm just that excited about them. xD}

Yes, I do hire artists because I can only color and not draw/shade and since I can't do much at the moment, I wanted to ask if you guys are interested in having specific markings? Obviously I can't do mutations on my own because of my inability to draw (LOL), but I can work on making markings.

If you have any suggestions, I'm very open to adding them to a list so I can work through them. Since I came from PI (and I might still run them there too), I'll be doing the PI s-genes too. So right now I'm looking for a non-PI marking that you guys are interested in, of course I still have to find a good way to make them appear good on the dragons, but having some specific markings in mind would help me a lot when I stare at the file in Photoshop. ^^;

I'll try to upload a flat colored sample of the adult female and unisex baby soon. Hopefully today or this weekend if my meds make me fall asleep.
