History about Social networking (online)

I am writing a big assignment and therefore i need to find the history about social networking, but i can't really find any useful links. Most of what i find is blogs or some :/

I just did a quick Google search of "the history of social networking" and this was the first link. Seems pretty good to me. o.o

I know facebook was born when two guys on a college campus commissioned someone to make a network where the kids in that college could connect and share stuff. The guy being commissioned took the idea and made it huge, way bigger than the campus and pretty much took all the credit for the idea.
