Marblings are the result of a small spell originally placed on marbles to hide pockets of magic in plain sight. The practice was done to store away energies if needed. Some marbles began to take life after a extended period of disuse, and the result was a small rabbit sized, genderless creature. Their surface retained the quality of their marble 'egg', being transparent, translucent or opaque. Minimal fur growths on a variety of places is considered normal. Feathers and scales can also appear in the place of fur but these are more uncommon. More special attributes include antlers, horns, spines, claws, hooves, wings, and such. This is probably an unexpected side effect of the magic used on them.
Marblings are a not highly intelligent, very unlike the sentience of a human. They are no more smarter than a rat. They can learn simple tasks and recognize different people.
The touch one of these living marbles is similar to their inanimate counterpart, being the temperature of the air and having a smooth skin. They aren't as hard, but their feet make clacking sounds when they walk on hardwood. The noise they make sounds like two noises simultaneously: a chirping noise and a lower sound below it, the clink of what sound like glass/agate hitting one another.
Marblings can breed. Any Marbling can have eggs with any other Marbling, as they are genderless.
Because of their beauty and dependent personality, Marblings have become popular as pets. Breeders have begun to categorize patterns and rank them on how common they occur. The rarity of some patterns have made breeding these Marblings profitable. Some try to create new patterns.

Breeding cost a fee of 25,000sg.
Breeding can happen between any two Marblings. They birth between 2-5 eggs that are indistinguishable from mundane inanimate marbles. A marbling can only breed once per season.(special out of season breedings need not apply if they're not extremely close to a season. I will tell you whether the pair can breed next season.)

You may use someone's Marbling to breed with yours, but you must have their permission. You might have to pay a fee, or give an egg.
If you and someone else both pay the fee and use your marbles, the babies will be divided up between you, each person taking turns to claim a baby. A coin will be flipped to see who goes first.
