I've been looking around the internet for my homework, but I don't work with horses so I have no idea if what I'm finding is recent enough D:

The assignment is to find a health defect and write a full page paper about it. As I want to be a large animal vet, I want to study horses for the assignment. If anyone knows of any genetic defect in horses, please post the name of it <3 I don't need background info, just a name to look up. Thanks in advance!

Isn't navicular disease genetically rooted? Not sure, though...

I don't know about navicular being genetic, at least not primarily, but HYPP definitely is
