Fire lizard clutch :-p

okay for those that dont know i love Dragon riders of pern. And i recently rejoined a rpg that i played about 5 years ago. Well since ive come back ive been craving to draw a firelizard clutch. This is what i got. Warning though its huge as i have not resized it cause im going to do some other stuff to it.

lol i couldnt remeber which way they had their tailes when i was working on it just kinda the head and the eyes. But yes im a big fan. I have like 10 threads already started adn in three days one of my chars had like 100 posts each a paragraph if not more long.

Mm I roleplay DRoP as well with some really awesome people. Relaxed canon is more fun for me than strict canon or non-canon. What do you RP more often?

Awww, that's cute!! ^^ The dragon drums trilogy is the only Pern books I've read so I love the firelizards! ^_^

ohh I love the dragon riders books!  Well, the ones my library managed to get in anyway.. I've not read them in quite a while though.  I should check if they have any more in.

Never rp'd it though humm  is it strictly a forum based rp?

the ones that are offical and that have been approved by anne mccaffery herself are those that are Play by email. I have a gmail account set up because the account is free and its wher ei can send all my email regarding the rp to.

I've never played on Arolos, but there are forum based DRoP RPs. Just type in 'weyr' on google and you'll find a bunch. I don't think all of them are registered with Anne McCaffery but any of the ones I have played on comply with her rules. If you want a link to the one I'm currently active on I wouldn't mind sending you the link Kadana.

really?  Hrm.. I think playing it would be similar to a mud.  Download the program used for connecting, and get the information needed to connect and what not.. that should be the most hard part (I usually have trouble finding the right ports heh)

but once your connected its pretty simple.  Think of a chat room, like on mIRC or such, where more then two people can enter and chat.  You rp there.  Everything you say is considered IC.. (most muds have a special command if you want to say something OOC) and you can do emotes for actions.  The "chat room" you are in will have a room description, to let you know where you are.

Somethign like

Library
You are standing in a very quiet room, the walls lined with shelves filled with old leather bound tombs.  There is a faint odor of must in the air, and candles spread about the room on tables for light.  A door to the east leads to the hall while a door to the north leads to a balcony.
Exits: North East

Then if you wnated to leave the room and go to another, you would type north or east and hitenter.  It would relocate you to that room (usually announcing to anyone in the library that you left, and anyone in the room you entered that you came in)  Each other rom you go into would be set up similarily.

Sometimes there are objects in the rooms you can interact with.  But they aren't always obvious.  Most I have played have built in NPC's and quests you can do, pets you can have, clothes to wear, weapons etc.  but there are a few I played that had no frills, just rooms to explore and rp in.
