Welcome to !Blub!'s first actual event So far we've only had the non-owner thread where you can get your first fish for free and the main thread where you could purchase fish, but no actual events! That's no fun, right? Soooo.. Games and contests it is. This will be a mix of events, some free and some paid, some skill based and some not, so hopefully there will be something to please everyone <3

Writing Games
The shop's owner, Charity, is a smart woman who also happens to love fish. Today you'll be trying to impress her by showing your love for fish through writing! She has a soft spot for poetry, as the events will reflect <3

Game #1 - Haiku
Write a haiku about fish! What's a haiku? Well, a haiku is a Japanese poem of three lines and a total of seventeen syllables. It follows this pattern: 5-7-5, so the first line has to have 5 syllables, the second line 7 syllables and the last line 5 syllables again.

Charity's favorite poem will win a prize. Contest starts now and ends July 12th 23:59 forum time.

Game #2 - Name Poem
Make a short 4-sentence name poem of the word FISH. What's a name poem, you ask? It's a poem about a subject where the first letter of each sentence will spell out the subject! Remember that poems are not required to rhyme.

Here is an example of a name poem using the name ERIN:
Erin is a lover of the morning,
Rich in all the fragrances of light.
In her one sees the sorrows of delight
Now and then erupt with little warning.

Game #3 - Letter
Write a letter to Charity where you talk about why you love fish. There is no minimum or maximum amount of words, just write whatever you desire! The one that convinces her the most will get a prize! Contest starts now and ends July 14th 23:59 forum time.

Number Game
The famous number game! I came up this forever ago and it became a huge hit that many adoptable owners now love to run and play, which makes me a very happy and proud YLO =3

Setting it up for !Blub! was a bit challenging because of the genetic limits, but I managed to come up with 3 forms to choose from All colors can be obtained from each of the grab bags, but some have greater odds of getting the more uncommon colors so pricing reflects that.

How To Play
1. Select the form you want and fill it out
2. The numbers you pick will determine what fish you get
3. The section will specify what range the number must fall in. So if it says 1-3 you can pick 1, 2 or 3.
4. You must pick one number for each section, do not leave any sections blank!
5. You are allowed to buy one of each kind every day, so a total of 3.
6. You may gift to friends, but it counts as one of your own and the above rule still applies.
7. Each blue form will cost 30K, a pink form will cost 60K & the purple form will cost 100K.
8. This will close at July 11th 23:59 forum time.

Genetics Game
I decided to do this game to encourage people to take a good look at the genetics, BUT every participant has an equal chance to win a fish even if you score 0 points in this game, so please do not shy away if you're confused at the whole genetics thing <3

For playing this game I'd recommend looking at this helpful picture from the info thread explaining the terminology:
