Whew! Ok, so, I think I've got a moment to write a bit.  I want to track Chemed's growth and behavior (and that of any other blobbies we add to the family along the way).  I got Chemed on June 25, 2010  Chemed was quite interested in the other blobbies there in Dr. Kayesh's lab, he "waved" at them a lot, but didn't approach any of them.  I think he might be a "people watcher."

When I took him home, I set him on the floor and waited to see what he'd do.  He rather reminded me of a gerbil, actually - cautious, but extremely curious, and prone to nibble on whatever's in reach.  He ate half of two of LilBit's crayons right off the bat - a dark red and a purple, as well as the tail off one of her rubber ducky bath toys.  After that I got the floor cleared off so no more toys have been consumed.  However, LilBit seems to delight in feeding Chemed, and Chemed always seems willing to oblige her (she loves feeding things, talk about the perfect pet!) so Chemed has also consumed quite a few cheerios, graham crackers, and raisens.   Chemed has taken to following LilBit around, so I imagine he'll continue to receive a healthy diet of toddler food daily.  ^^;
