Les Plume is my first adoptable here on secundi, after a friend played here for awhile i figured i should check it our for myself. Les plume will be more of a collecters adoptable, with a little contesting and breeding fun mixed in. Please if you see anything that could use fixing pm me at anytime!

In the deep jungles a type of bird lives that not many have had the chance to lay eyes on. There bodies are long and snake like standing around 3 ft tall at full growth. They are light weight creatures ranging from 30lbs to 35lbs depending on their food supply and time of year. These creatures often do not venture from their secure homes under the tree roots of the jungle. They cannot fly, thus this leaves them open to certain predators that live near them. They can however, run at great speeds thus making them very hard to catch if they have the time to bolt. They also cannot swim very well thanks to a very small pair of wings and only the two legs to kick with. Their fur also tends to weigh them down when wet.

Ive learned recently though that the poor dears have moved lower on the food chain as their lovely homes is being taken down by the loggers. So i have been trying to work with the locals to catch these quiet beautys and bring them here with me to secundi where they should find wonderful homes with people who can enjoy their grace and intelligence.

The Certificate

Each Les Plume, is given a certificate when adopted out. This will hold the animals owners name and chosen name, along with an agreement to take care of the creature. In the bottom right hand corner is the animals registered ID, this will be used when breeding and racing your Les Plume. Your certificate also holds an approval stamp to the lower left of the certificate, this just shows that the certificate was approved by the adoption team of the Les Plumes.

Breeding a Les Plume

From what i've heard and seen the Les Plume are very exclusive about their breeding. They will only breed once a month for a very short period of two days. As Les Plumes are not gendered any two can create an egg together. Eggs are solid little rock like things, they are not easy to break so the Les Plume tend the lay them just about anywhere. Finding eggs can be quite hard if you do not know where to look. Some Les Plume dosnt care to just lay them in the middle of your living room while others like to shelter them in places like under chairs or behind that old pile of boxes you never unpacked. Also remember the Les Plume are great diggers, so under your tool shed or house isnt uncommon either.

Les Plume eggs will hatch into fledgelings around 1 to 2 weeks after they've been laid. The fledgelings are very fragile and the parents will often be rather protective over them at this time. They are very small and without fur or feathers completely. Fledgelings grow into adults and are ready to race and breed 2 weeks after they hatch.

Racing Your Les Plume

Because the Les Plume tend to enjoy running, i have set up a local track to practice and race on. These creatures are very cared for as they tend to be the cream of the crop when it comes to the Les Plume Community. Their will be birds that dont enjoy the sport and their will be birds whom strive to win every time.

Race Times

Twice a month i will have a race that's for qualifying. Race one is open to all birds, there are 5 races in two days. 3 on day one, 2 on day two. You may race your bird a whole of two times, and not on the same day. There are 5 birds to a class. the top two placing birds from each class may race again in the 2nd race day where their are only two classes. Class one will be for all the birds that raced and qualified on race day one. Class two will be for any birds that would like one more chance to qualify. Birds placing 1-4 in the first class will go onto the Grand Race.

Grand race is ran on the very last day of the month (Race Day One 1st & 2nd of the month, Race Day two 15th of the month) This is composed of those whom qualified 1st-4th in race day two class one and 1st place bird in race day two class two.

Grand Race has places for birds 1st-3rd, those birds will be rewarded with a ribbon and points. Points can be collected to raise fertility (egg quality & quantity) and of course to help with placing in future races.

Grand Champion Birds
These are birds whom have collected a whole of 35 points. Once a bird has been named a grand champion they are retired from racing, however their breedings are highly valuable. They are garunteed 3 plus eggs with every breed and their fledgelings are born with 1-5 points to start out with

Races will be held very close together this month, due to the just opening of the shop.

Race day one will be held on the 17th, race day 2 on the 19th and Grand Race on the 30th. Please have your birds ready by this time

Les Plume Hunt

No we are not hunting the birds really, just going to find some that need new homes because of the destruction of their beautiful homes. This will be an RP type event with many fun prizes! Starts June 6th.

Monthly Custom Slots

Will be open in the thread the 5th-15th. Unlimited slots will be handed out however there will be stop times so i have time to catch up.

Flatsale & Auction

There will be a small flatsale this month on the 18th, these will be birds with natural born points out of my grand champion male Spur. The auction will hold a bird with 10 natural born points out of my grand champion male Spur and grand champion female Market.

Breeding days for this month will be the 22nd through the 24th. There will be around 5 slots opened possibly more if the demand is high.
