Doorians: Gathering Interest and Staff?

Welcome to the Land of the Green Glass Doors! What used to be a fireside camp game to me has become a strangely diverse little world to me. I don't have a 'world story' as yet, but it's a parallel world to ours, and magic and myth and legend and mundanity all meld together.

In all threads for LotGGD, there is one universal rule: the Game is always in play, but you can NEVER tell someone how it works!!! People who give it away in thread will find their pets and Doorians repossessed! And if I hear of people giving the game away via PM, they risk the same consequences. The game can be fun, so please don't ruin it for people!

How to play? Instead of bumping threads, try posting one thing that IS in the Land, and one thing that isn't. For example:

"In the Land of the Green Glass Doors, it's always sunny but never rainy!"

Some interesting things:

* All inhabitants of Greenglassia are called Doorians.

* Anthropomorphic inhabitants are called Furrians.

* Inhabitants with both human and animal characteristics are called Haffians.

* Doorians with mythical traits and powers are called Elles.

* Doorians with suitable Doorian names have increased chances of twins!

* Doorians can die if a potion reacts badly, or an adventure goes sour. If dead, they'll show up on the cert as a gravestone.

* Dead Doorians are still useful if you can get your hands on a Phantasma Potion or a Vivification Potion!

* There are rewards for RPing your character! Some mutations, races, and job classes are only available through roleplaying.

* Doorians, Haffians, and Furrians cannot be sold or traded outside of trading season. Elles can only be traded during trading season with permission, and new owner must take on the RP requirements. Doorian pets can be bred and traded at any time.

* Using a Mentis Potion on a pet has a 50% chance of creating an intelligent pet, and a 50% chance of creating a Furrian!

* Pets are breedable to pets of like breed.




I have other ideas too, like a graveyard, and a clothing shop where you can get a new fashion, and a Hair stylist, and an apocathary for those potions. Ingredients for potions will be found through regular hunts. I'm hoping in the future to be an agency and make it automated, since I lack the web coding to do so myself T_T

What I need:

SECRETARY: I am, alas, chronically disorganised. As a secretary, you would keep track of who needs growing and when they're due to grow, who won what, certing information, etc. I can accomplish loads when I have a nice list to work from! Payment could be SG (when I have some of my own), Potion ingredients, semi-custom & custom Doorians/Furrians/Haffians & pets, and occasionally an Elle if you RP.

CERTIST: Simple as that. You'd need a program that would open psds. I can provide the cert template and the needed fonts. I *loathe* certing. I can do it but oh MERLIN I hate it!!! Payment would be much the same as a Secretary's.

COLORIST: Truth of the matter is, I'm not fond of coloring. I'm not a creative colorist, though I can manage customs fine. I just can't come up with ideas on my own. I'm perfectly happy churning out line edits, templates, new poses, etc.....but coloring one shirt to be 20 unique ones? AHHHHH! No! Hence where a colorist comes in.

I'm not going to say you can't use brushes, but I won't be interested in someone who relies on brushes. I'd need to see 9-12 samples of coloring you've done, 3 with brushes and the rest without. Preferably without shading: shading can often make even bad coloring jobs look good. I want to see coloring that can stand for itself!

I'd like maybe two colorists, one for human/furrian/haffian templates, and one for pet templates when more of those are done. Coloring except for hair (which can be dyed) is standard coloring, unless a Spectra Potion is applied.

Payment would be some mishmash of coloring some for yourself to keep, occasional line edits, Potions & Potions agreements, and perhaps custom slots.

Now I bet you'd like to see what Doorians look like? Well, the Furrians and Haffians are shy right now, but there's several girls who'd love to say hi:

Heh heh heh I can't believe the Doorians are actually here. I loved them waaaay back over a year ago when they were introduced on PI. Whee!

Elles - well, they have special rules, some of which are being hammered out still XD there are currently three tiers of Elles; the longer their life cycle is, the harder they are to breed successfully and the rarer they are. The average Doorian/Furrian/Haffian has two stages: child and adult. The highest tier Elle has five stages: egg, baby, child, teen, adult.

Interested in meeting a deceased Doorian who was given a Vivification Potion? :3

Hehe. We had so many of these sorts of games when I went to camp. And I always felt so silly when I thought I understood, but then a new example came up, and my theory was proven wrong.

But, I'm excited. I like being on the side that knows that secret. It's very fun
