I am putting Neptune's Oasis hiatus for a couple of months.
I want to completely change the way I run them and I don't have time to do that right now.

These will come back, but it may take several months.
In the meantime I'll probably run The Jaeman Prophecy, as that is completely ready to go and I am satisfied with that adoptable (lineart, shading, cert & set-up).
Both Chirroc Town and Neptune's Oasis will undergo some heavy changes and then hopefully return.
I just don't like the way they are right now, so I'll bring them back when I find a solution for that and hopefully I'll get both new and old followers then.

Neptune's Oasis is currently less developed than Chirroc Town.
We hope you will still enjoy yourself and stick with us.
In the future we will offer mix & match lineart and more customization!

Unwanted mermaids can be traded for other mers, other adoptables and given away for free.
You are not allowed to sell them for any kind of currency.

Stages

Currently most mermaid's at Neptune's Oasis have two stages: egg & adult.
When you adopt a mermaid it'll already have grown into an adult.
You can get eggs through breeding and sometimes they're available as customs.

There is also an Elder stage, but it is extremely rare.
You can earn the Elder stage for one of your mers through lots of RP and general activity.
There have also been times where Elder mermaids popped up in auctions or USD customs.

Breeding

Neptune's Oasis does not have a breeding season. Instead, breeding slots will open every once in a while.
There is no set time or frequency for this, nor is there a set amount of available slots.
Specific rules and fees for slots will be announced every time they open.

A bit more info:
• Any pairing can be bred together.
However, to breed same gender pairings you'll need a pink potion.
• Currently you're not able to influence how the babies look. All traits come from parents.
In the future there might be items available to guarantee a certain gender, color, type and/or marking.
• There will be 1-3 eggs born from a regular breeding. Lifemated pairs will produce 2-4 eggs.
You need a blue potion in order to create a lifemated pair. In both cases, you can increase the number of offspring through RP.
• All offspring is given to the person who claimed the slot. You're allowed to use any unwanted ones for trading, to pay stud/RB fees or simply give them away. You are NOT allowed to sell your mermaids for any kind of currency.
• If you're using a mer owned by someone else, they must post to give their permission.

You don't need any potions or items to breed. But if you want a same gender breeding or a lifemated pair you'll need to get a potion. Potions are sold and given out at random. You'll only need one blue potion to form a lifemated pair, but you'll need a new pink potion for each same gender breeding.

Customs

Looking for a specific kind of mermaid? Then you might want to consider ordering a custom.
Different kinds will be available and you'll find all the info you need once they're open.
They're adult-only, unless otherwise specified.

**Semi-Customs**
If you'd like a mer with specific colors, come here!
You can pick basic colors and order solid colored or patterned mers.
Semi-customs are always natural colored, so you'll have limited options for skintone, hair and eyes.
Fantasy skintones can only be ordered with full customs.
If you'd like to order a semi-custom, please check to see if there are any open slots.
Then post the filled out form in blue and send the SG immediately after posting.
