Elenaria in the Summer Pasture

OOC: I hope I'm not offending anyone if I have my Elenaria talk in this thread.  I've been planning so many English grammar lessons that I really just want to have a go at straight casual writing for a sec!




Pikake stands staring over and onto the grassland from his post atop a ridge.  He is playing the part of sentinel, at once to be useful and to feel the wind sailing through his silken green mane that tumbled about smoother than any grass in the stiff wind.  The wind told tales of far-off huts, cabins, and tents, carrying the scent of hot milk tea and smoldering dung inside the stoves.  The summer pasture was always this way.

Alongside Pikake, another unicorn quietly grazed, keeping her eyes demurely focused on anything but her companion,  The bugs in the grass, glimpsed of clouds in the sky as she turned her head, and wandering nomads and dogs were fair game; but she felt Pikake's attitude to be so serene that she dared not disrupt it, even with a grazing glance from her gray opal eyes.  Instead, she let Pikake's serenity billow down over her like the folds of a large white pillow, and she grazed contentedly on the summer grassland.  Her name was Passion Boutique, a strikingly leopard-skinned unicorn from afar.
