Basically, a 'Tavern Cat' started out as a barn cat that kept company at the taverns. They were most often picked off the street, and any significant breed standards were quickly lost. However, they grew more empathetic towards humans, more intelligent. Before long it was impossible to deny that they were sentient life, and today they are considered close companions. They lead the wandering home. They are a warm body on a cold night. A guardian in the dark. They are the cats of the Starlight Taverns.

This thread is going to be specifically for breeding. I'm hoping to get a feel for how I want to run breeding with this thread, so things may change until I find something that works.

To start off, please only post one breeding and cross it out when it's done. This time around, breeding will only be between male and female cats already in the system. Later on there will be options for only one parent, and a slight chance for same-gendered breeding.

Please don't use a cat a second time until the litter they are waiting on is colored. Other than that restriction, there is no limit on how often a cat can be bred. I will close breeding when the thread dies down or when I'm overwhelmed.

You do not need the Essence of Life to breed here as it is more of an out of season item.

XD You guys are killing me! I'll do up to hiyoko's, but any further breedings and I just can't. After breedings I'm gonna finish up everything else I've already started and then see about getting the bobtails out.

Hey, all! Just an update here since there are only three breedings left. I am really sorry for fading out a little bit recently - school hit me the hardest yet this year and I've been working on stuff for both AP classes and my art class for the last couple weeks or so. I think - think - that school is going to be manageable from here on out and the ST will be back with lots of events.

I think the next event I will do is bribes, where I will take a bit of a breather from coloring so many and work on my end of deals I've already made while those of you who haven't had the chance to get as many kitties as you'd like can get the chance to get more.

Also, one last thing. This season pretty much killed me with having to color so many litters at a time, so it isn't likely I will run breedings this way. I'm looking at breeding mostly by item and occasional slots for events. I know this open breeding I tried here works for some adopts, but since I don't have template markings, I don't feel that it works well for the ST.

Thank you all for hanging with me even though I haven't been too active lately!

You'll find something that works love!! You can always look at feli for a more spread out constant breeding.

*pat pat*  Yeah, breedings can get exhausting doing so many at a time.  Best to try a different idea that doesn't burn you out.
