Inactive Agencies

I wonder if there would be a way to, after so long of no new activity, that Agencies could be considered officially "inactive". Not that they or their pets would be deleted, but that they won't "represent" Secundi during their extended hiatus. Such things as being on the master Agency list (or in a separate section of the Agency list), or adventuring with those Agencies, being able to choose to not have these inactive agencies on your displayable pet list, and other such things.

Us old users know and are familiar with these agencies, but to new users browsing the site for the first time it's deceiving. It's even possible that they'll get their hopes up on pets from these inactive agencies that when they find out the pets aren't really available anymore, they may just up and leave rather than sticking around.

And then, if the the owner decides to start the agency back up it should be able to be reactivated.

I also think that owners who have lost the drive for an agency, and either can't find someone to take over or don't WANT someone to take over, should be able to softly retire the agency (the pets won't be deleted, but there won't be any new actions for the Agency, and users can chose whether or not they want to display for this retired agency).

I had been going through the list the other day and just thinking 'not active, not active'.
But you've brought up a good point with the new USRs and how it may be confusing and disappointing.

A possible simple solution would be that Sil could just put the word 'inactive' next to the shop's name in the drop-down list and/or the list on the Agency page.

I do like this idea yes, even if as Ryu suggested, it's simply "inactive" added before their name.

I like this idea! Especially since quite a few are inactive, it would be good to have a 'hide' option to not see these on the agency list.

Sounds like a good suggestion.  Some parts of it are more difficult than others.  I can have inactive agencies marked as such and in their own section on the master agency list by the end of the month.  Letting people choose whether to show inactive agencies in their own lists is a lot more involved.  I think it's a good suggestion, but I might not get it done this month.

Seems like we can't search for pets from inactive Agencies anymore from the main search page, only from that specific agecy's page.
